May 19. Visit the highlights of the The Golden Circle. To avoid the crowds I recommend that we start the day early at 08:15 and drive straight up to the Gullfoss Waterfalls. After enjoying the waterfall we drive to Geysir hot spring area. There you can see Stokkur and other hot springs. From there we head over to the National Park of Thingvellir. It is among few places in the world where you can see the separation of the North American and the Eurasian plate. After that we head back to Reykjavik. May 20. Drive into Thorsmork area. This area is only accessible by 4 x 4 vehicles. We will drive on a dirt road and cross many rivers before we reach our end destination Basar. On the way to Basar we will drive to Gigjokull Glacier where massive amounts of meltwater rushed down the glacier during the 2010 volcanic eruption. We stop by the waterfall Seljalandsfoss before driving back to Reykjavik.
