On this exciting day trip from Copenhagen, we will travel by minivan with a professional driver, to the area of North Zealand to discover its beautiful and fascinating castles. In the charming seaside town of Helsingør, we will explore Kronborg Castle, inspiration for Hamlet's Elsinore in Shakespeare's famous tale. Highlights of the castle include the Royal Apartments, the impressive Ballroom and the historic Chapel. Enjoy lunch at the vibrant street food market or a local café, before we continue on towards the town of Hillerød. Explore the sprawling Frederiksborg Castle, known as the Nordic Versailles - the castle is home to the Danish National History Museum and offers a fascinating look at Denmark's rich history. Enjoy the Chapel*, Audience Chamber, Great Hall and more, before we return to Copenhagen. *The Chapel is occasionally closed to visitors due to church services.
