This is THE tour for those who would like to have a truly traditional Dubrovnik area experience and to escape from crowds. Why ? Well, my grandparents spent their life here. My parents were born and raised here. I couldn't wait to get here as kid to "help" my family tradition - OYSTER growing !!! Area I still enjoy to escape to. To recharge my batteries. . . Did you know that the warmest word in this area is BABA, or grandmother in English ?! If You would like to experience something unique, not touristy, feel free to join me on my cousin's boat ride to the oyster farms. It is unique, believe me !!! We won't give them a chance to get to the restaurant's tables -:) -:) :-) Scenic coastal villages and country side roads free of buses, dry walled stones around, local tradition and food, Mediterranean olive grows, presentation of old olive mill and press, beautiful views of the Adriatic sea, all of this we can experience on this tour. . . Medieval Ston with it's walls and salt pans is on the way too. . .
Pick up at any preferred location in Dubrovnik. -Scenic coastal ride along Primorje villages. -Panoramic stops overlooking country side landscapes and Elaphite islands. -Stop in one of the villages for traditional snack ( home made cheese, smoked ham, olives, honey ) with welcome drink and for presentation of the old olive mill and press. -Coastal ride to historical Ston - small, gothic town known of the longest preserved fortification system in Europe, it's medieval salt works and oysters. -Brief walk around to introduce you to it's great historical value / optional drink break. -Next stop in BISTRINA bay or " bay inside the bay " !!! -Spacious barge ride with a local oyster farmer to the best Croatian oyster farms in the middle of this calm bay. -Home made liquors, wine and cheese, home grown seasonal fruit and presentation of the oyster farming process with oyster tasting ( in case of very bad weather conditions we will have it from the shore ). - Return back to Dubrovnik with optional lunch break.
