A customised tour that incorporates all the main sights one expects to see in London in one day. I hold a coveted blue badge guiding qualification which enables me to guide inside Westminster Abbey, the tower of London and many other famous locations if required. We will travel from the city of Westminster, to the City of London and its foundation weaving our way through its 2000 year History from its origins as a small trading post to one of the greatest cities in the world. We will visit some of the worlds most famous buildings and walk in the footsteps of some of Londons most famous and infamous characters that shaped this sceptered isle. There are medieval churches we can visit and echoes of Londons Roman past we can experience. From the sound of the air raid sirens to the glass towers that replaced the stone castles. This is my most popular tour. I aim to make all my tours an immersive experience and to bring the history of my beautiful city to life. The day is yours
Our Itinerary will be fluid to incorporate your needs and interests. I have included an example below. Am: A walking tour to visit the exteriors of. . . the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Whitehall, Downing Street, The exterior of Westminster Abbey and the deans yard. Walk with the soldiers for the Changing of the Guards (depending on schedule) A photo stop at Buckingham Palace, A stroll through St, James's Park A taxi/bus to Piccadilly Circus and China Town A stop at Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. Lunch: Chose from foodie markets/ a pub lunch/ a quick sandwich or a snack with a view. The choice is yours. PM: We take public/private/taxi transport to St. Pauls Cathedral then to relax with Londons Skyline from a viewing platform. The Famous Tower Bridge. The Tower of London and its History. We will do the day at a pace you are comfortable with with lots of breaks and a black cab ride to maximise our time together in London. The tour can be designed to suit the needs of you and your guests.
