Story of Split - Orientation Trip

I would like to welcome you to my hometown, Split! A lot can be said about Split. Sportiest city in the world, most beautiful city in the world, a city in which "fjaka" was invented (psychophysical state of mind when there is an aspiration for nothing and to do nothing) and so on and so on. . . However, one thing is for sure, Split is one of the most unique cities in the world because its heart lies within a 1700-year-old Roman palace and nothing you've heard or read before coming can fully prepare you for what you will find and explore here. Don't come looking for fancy beds and chandeliers as instead I will help you discover many small hidden streets and corners while soaking in the atmosphere of a Roman age masterpiece before you stumble upon my favorite cafe with best coffee or come face to face with a sphinx! :) Along the way, I will share the story about emperor Diocletian who built his palace here and made a foundation for a city to rise from it.
