The Louvre with an Art Historian - private tour

"The Louvre is intended to never be completely finished, but rather to be continuously transformed" (Pierre Fontaine, 1817). During a lecture, I listened to French artist Christian Boltansky talk about his early experiences at the Louvre when he was a fine arts student. He said that in order to discover the intricacies of this museum he began "following" random visitors and so visiting areas of the museum that he might never have visited otherwise. From that moment on I started doing the same thing, and voila . . . I have discovered this magnificent museum far and wide.
